From our house to yours!

We believe dogs were meant to be companions for people, so we only want to have and raise dogs WITH people! So, no big kennels here! Only dogs who are our pets and who live with us (or a guardian family!), in our home, sharing life together! We are honored that you would consider Boise Goldens as the breeder for your next family member!

What People Are Saying!

Our Process

  • Raised In A House

All of our puppies are always raised in a house. No sheds, no garages, no kennel. We know you are looking for a puppy that will live with you, so they live with us to get ready to share a home with their new family!

  • Health Screening

If a dog has a hereditary disease, there’s no good reason to purposely breed that dog and pass on the health issues to the puppies. We check for multiple different genetic conditions before breeding any dog.

  • ENS / ESI

All of our puppies receive Early Neurological Training and Early Scent Introduction, processes designed to increase the lifespan, improve the health of a dog, and increase their cognitive awareness.

  • Socialization

Puppies get regular outings, so they are introduced to many people, noises, car rides, and sounds. We trim nails regularly, touch puppies while eating to train against food aggression, and introduce vacuums!

  • Potty Training

Can you imagine a puppy that comes to you already well into their potty training!? Because our puppies live inside with us, they are already used to using a door, going outside, and signaling to use the bathroom.

  • House Trained

We work with all our puppies on “manding” (the ability to sit to get attention), playing properly, not chewing on any furniture, and much more. Living in a house means they are house trained in many ways.

Meet Our Dogs

  • Zoe

Zoe is our sweet mama dog, always wanting someone to love and look over. You will usually find her with her head on your lap and paw gently nudging you to pet her. She loves to run and fetch, but has that wonderful English Golden “off-switch” when we are ready to sit and rest a bit!

  • Ember

Ember is as sweet as they come, a loyal companion who is always right by your side and ready to give you love and friendship. She is a smaller golden at 58 pounds, but she makes up for her smaller size with her big heart.

  • Theia

Theia is a beautiful girl who wows everyone she meets with her super soft coat and calm, relaxed demeanor. She’s a super fan of fetching balls, especially in water! Adventures through the mountains with her people would be her ideal day. Everyone is Theia’s BFF - she can’t wait to meet you!

  • Amicus

Ami is our old man: the first English Golden Retriever we purchased and who made us fall in love with the breed. He is gentle, happy, always patient with a small child poking in his mouth or ears. He loves toys with squeakers, and always finds a way to get them out, and will even share with the puppies!

  • Pax

Pax is our beloved youngest child, and the reason why dog breeding can be very expensive! Hailing from Romania, Pax is a fantastic example of a European Golden Retriever but his hips aren’t good enough for breeding, so he is the fun uncle now to all the puppies who he loves playing with!

Boise Goldens Went Viral!

Who would have imagined that eleven puppies staring out of their pen at 6AM in the morning would go viral? Well, maybe just EVERY DOG LOVER EVER! They are so stinking cute!

  • Yes, they really are all standing there on their own.

  • Nope, no one staged it. We wanted to capture what we see each morning.

  • No poop in the pen first thing in the morning (feedings at 6AM, 12PM, and 6PM and lots of play and potty outside before bed!). We are thrilled about this, too!

  • Yes, the little guy in the back—Stanley—is super polite and cute! And yes, the new owners decided to name him Stanley.

  • Yes, those are custom Adrian Pearsall style couches in the background. (Way go to M&M Creative Upholstery!)

Why are puppies so “expensive”?

Like anything else in life, you usually get what you pay for. We believe in the way we raise our puppies and believe that a well-bred, cared-for, and trained puppy will make for a much happier experience for both the dog and owner. There are many things that go into being a responsible breeder, and it isn’t cheap. We are definitely not getting rich from breeding dogs—we do it for the love of this breed and to bring enjoyment to others in owning a great dog. Whether you purchase one of our puppies or from someone else, it may help you to learn more about how responsible breeders work, their costs, and things you should be asking other breeders you are talking to.
